Save Trees: Recycle Your Moving Boxes

Everyone has their own style when it comes to going green. Some of us go all out and install things like solar panels and windmills to power our homes. Others are more relaxed, making small changes like remembering to turn down the thermostat or replacing light bulbs with more energy efficient models. Whatever your method for going green, there is one thing that we can all do that you may not have thought of – recycle your moving boxes!

We’ve all moved at one time or another. Even if you have lived in the same home all of your life it’s unlikely that you’ve never had to pack up and move some of your stuff into storage or to a different location. In fact, the average American moves over 10 times during the course of their lives. That’s a lot of moving and that’s a lot of moving boxes. By recycling your moving boxes instead of throwing them away you can save trees, energy, oil and even water!
